I have worn it while grocery shopping and it did not get in the way at all. I am heavy and I still have plenty of room for a sweater underneath on rare 40 degrees mornings. Thrown in the dryer with moist towel and dryer sheet for 5 minutes...no more wrinkles. I am in coastal San Diego, so should be warm enough for Winter use here. Arm opening are long, so suitable for most. I am very happy with it !
